Oh, the horror of Felix' logic. Here he thought he was in control of his own intake and response. God's time is perfect time. Perhaps God was giving Felix an idea of the glory that awaits the redeemed, but Felix wasted that time. He was like the man who comes to a deep river that must be crossed, sees no easy way and decides to sit down and wait for the stream to dry up in the heat of the day. What he does not know is that the stream is at its shallowest as he approaches and that stream will become uncrossable ever the longer he waits.
